
Dr. Jeff LaPlume is a board-certified optometric physician practicing locally for over 30 years. He was born in Worcester, MA and moved to Largo where he attended high school. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and pre-medical studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa in 1987 and did his graduate studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1992. He was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and externships were completed at Fort Carson Army Hospital in Colorado Springs and The Eye Foundation in Orlando.

Dr. Matt Hutchinson grew up in Largo, FL and has been in practice as an Optometric Physician for 20 years. He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of South Florida and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Dr. Hutchinson completed internships in contact lens management and primary care at NSU as well as an externship in ocular disease management at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Fl. He was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and received the Milroy Optical Scholorship Award for excellence in ophthalmic optics. He graduated with honors in 2003. He resides locally with his High School sweetheart Sharon.
